Rod Luamanu
Rod Luamanu is the owner of and professionally certified window film installer at Tried and True Tint.
He has been tinting windows for over ten years and learned the skill back in 2014 at another shop in Alaska. Rod has also been an automotive mechanic, heavy equipment operator and semi truck driver. He is originally from American Samoa and moved to the United States after graduating high school to attend Universal Technical Institute in Arizona where he received his Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2009.
After spending many years on the road trucking, doing road construction as well as working as a mechanic, he decided he wanted a change in his lifestyle and career path.
Him and his wife Mariah decided to start a business doing something he had always loved and always had a natural talent in, window tinting!
Rod has high expectations for the quality of the service, and has no plans to expand their team in order to maintain a consistent result.
He pays extreme attention to detail and is very cautious with every vehicle, no matter the year, make or model.
Rod enjoys making a difference in people’s lives by providing a service that has tangible benefits and provides protection to their health and safety as well as adding style and privacy to their vehicle, home or business.
Rod is not afraid of a challenge and cannot recall a time he has turned down a project due to the difficulty. Rod is always eager to meet every customer, learn their name, shake their hand and genuinely thank them for supporting his dream.
When Rod is not tinting windows, he enjoys working out, playing football, basketball, and being involved with their church at River of Life.
Mariah Luamanu
Mariah Luamanu is the owner and CEO of Tried and True Tint.
She has experience in business management, working in the food industry, web design, banking, and teaching as a homeschool Mom.
Mariah has a high standard for how her customers are treated and she prefers to deal with each one directly. She has no plans on expanding their team, in order to give each customer a more genuine experience.
She ensures that communication is clear from start to finish in the booking process and throughout the duration of the project and beyond.
Mariah gets fulfillment out of seeing the enthusiasm of new and repeat customers when they pick up their vehicle or upon booking as the anticipation builds.
She loves being able to offer a trustworthy service that protects people from harmful UV Rays, uncomfortable heat, and gives them more confidence in their everyday lives.
When Mariah is not answering phones or assisting Rod on projects, she enjoys watercolor painting, writing poetry and being involved with their church at River of Life.
